Where Sky Meets Earth in Water
The horizon has disappeared. In its place: a lake surface that holds everything at once – clouds drifting in cool grey above, autumn grasses glowing in amber and rust below, all folded into a single trembling plane.
The water is the true subject here. It does not merely reflect – it translates. The sky becomes painterly, soft and shifting. The reeds at the water's edge bleed orange and ochre into the grey like brushstrokes that forgot to stop. Fallen leaves drift at the bottom like punctuation marks at the end of a season.
There is no intervention needed. The world has arranged itself into something that already looks like art.
The lake holds sky and earth in the same breath – and for a moment, neither is more real than the other.
