Glitch at Dusk -
When the Image Breaks Open
A lake at twilight. The scene is almost classical – dark silhouettes of buildings and trees reflected in still water, heavy clouds gathering above. Brooding, familiar, atmospheric.
Then the upper half fractures. Horizontal bands of burnt orange tear across the sky like corrupted data. The photograph remembers something the eye never saw.
The lower half holds its calm – the water undisturbed, the reeds quietly grounded – while above, reality glitches and rewrites itself. This tension between the serene and the fractured gives the work its quiet unease.
The image knows something is wrong. It just doesn't stop being beautiful.
