One Duck in an Altered World

The reeds rise like blue flames from a smoldering earth. Deep crimson burns through the darkness behind them, and the water below shimmers in tones of amber and teal – a wetland transformed into something between vision and memory.

And then, almost hidden in the lower third: a single duck, rendered in its natural colors, quietly crossing the frame. Unaltered. Unhurried. Indifferent to the chromatic storm surrounding it.

This small, ordinary creature becomes the emotional anchor of the entire image. While the world around it has been pushed beyond recognition – color inverted, atmosphere charged, nature made strange – the duck simply is. It asks nothing. It explains nothing.

In the midst of transformation, one small thing remains entirely itself.
