Topography of the In-Between

The work confronts the viewer with a puzzling simultaneity: satellite image and painterly gesture, documentation and abstraction, above and below – all collapsing into a single pictorial space.

What appears at first glance as an aerial view – a road, trees, a building – is overlaid and dissolved by wild brushstrokes of black and white. The cartography of reality disintegrates. Color islands of deep ochre, blue and rust-brown break through the monochrome layers like tectonic plates, asserting themselves as remnants of identity. The delicate white branches read like nerve pathways beneath the skin of an unknown organism.

The work refuses a clear perspective. It asks: where does observation end and interpretation begin?

A work on the threshold between control and loss.
